The Webcast Coordinator-Host manages conceptual, logistical, and technical elements of AI online trainings, and collaborates with both internal and external subject matter experts (speakers) to create a high-quality learning experience. The webcast coordinator hosts approximately 120 online trainings per year. As host, the coordinator is accountable for conceptual, logistical, and technical support for those particular online trainings.
Conceptual support for online trainings
In offering conceptual support for online trainings, the webcast coordinator will work most closely with both internal and external subject matter experts (speakers).
- Providing feedback to both internal and external subject matter experts to ensure trainings meet stated outcomes
- Suggesting to both internal and external subject matter experts appropriate technologies and tools through which content may be delivered
- Ensuring that training materials are appropriate for the online medium
Logistical and technical support for online trainings
In offering logistical and technical support for online trainings, the webcast coordinator will work most closely with external subject matter experts (speakers) and attendees.
- Training and coaching speakers on how to present effectively online
- Ensuring speakers have all necessary equipment to present online
- Managing communication with attendees to ensure a seamless learning experience
- Resolving technical issues both before and during online trainings
Qualifications: required
- Bachelor's degree
- Comfort with online presentations and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Proactive approach to quality control and improvement
- Obsessive organizational skills and ability to work on multiple events at different stages of development
- Ability to multitask with attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Commitment to outstanding customer service
- Sound decision making under pressure
- Flexibility with new technologies
Qualifications: preferred
- Knowledge of the higher education industry
- An understanding of online pedagogical principles
