Conference Coordinator
The Conference Coordinator is the primary logistical and operational planner for all in-person events. The position requires "A to Z" meeting planning from site selection to on-site management.
We are seeking Conference Coordinators that are organized, efficient, and highly skilled meeting planning professionals. This is a new position due to growth.
Major responsibilities are:
- Coordinating 30-35 multi-day educational conferences a year in a variety of cities across the country
- Handling logistics for multiple events (in various stages of development), including:
- Responding quickly and effectively to participant requests
- Site selection and meeting room planning
- Competitively and aggressively negotiating venue contracts
- Managing speaker communications and logistics
- Arranging and ensuring seamless F&B and A/V service
- Shipping and coordinating all conference materials
- On-site management of all logistics for larger events
Successful candidates must clearly present:
- Background in meeting planning and/or the hospitality industry
- Poised and professional communication and customer service skills
- Obsessive and understandable organizational style
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
- A history of aggressive negotiation
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to travel (averaging one event per month)

The interviewer/researcher conducts market research to support the development of our training programs for higher education administrators. The position involves both gathering information and building engagement with higher ed professionals.
Major responsibilities are:
- Researching training needs of various audiences to inform the design of professional development programs
- Interviewing higher education professionals through a variety of means (phone, email)
- Building relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, including speakers, attendees, and subject matter experts
- Identifying subject matter experts
- Organizing, analyzing, and reporting on market research
- Maintaining accurate contact records

Graphic Designer
Academic Impressions is a dynamic and growing organization that provides high quality learning opportunities for academic and administrative leaders in higher education. EUCI is a leading conference management company with over 20 years of experience in the energy industry.
The two firms operate in a shared office environment and are looking for a graphic designer to manage the brands and marketing materials for both companies. The graphic designer works across the marketing and conference production teams in both companies to produce high quality marketing brochures, signage, and on-site conference material.
The graphic designer will also manage the website for Academic Impressions. This production-oriented position demands both speed and absolute textual accuracy!
Successful candidates will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Art or design degree
- 3+ years experience in graphic design
- Experience working directly with print vendors
- Performs well under tight deadlines
- Independent worker who is a proactive communicator
- PC platform with proficiency in CS Suite

Web Strategy Manager
Academic Impressions is seeking a Web Strategy Manager to play a key role in our marketing team. In this position, you will work closely with and report to the Director of Marketing & Communication. You will have a key role in developing and deploying new marketing strategies, giving you the creative freedom to use your own ideas and concepts while doing web development and graphic design.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for development and maintenance of AI's public-facing website
- Strategizes with senior management and marketing team to create user experiences that maximize sales conversion
- Reviews how the website aligns with objectives and what customers think of the website
- Optimizes site performance for search engine capacity (SEO)
- Supports initiatives in social networking, web communities and other social media marketing and web technology channels
- Monitors website visitor data (Google Analytics) and makes changes to the site structure and content as necessary
- Designs and builds HTML email templates and other customized web-based applications
- Manages the visual brand of AI including the design of all .pdf event brochures, PPT templates, onsite materials and display, CDs, and other customer-facing material.
- Obtains/purchases artwork, illustrations, photography, etc
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of experience in web design and interactive marketing. Advanced knowledge of SEO.
- Understanding of information architecture, with demonstrated ability to apply concepts to daily work
- Strong understanding of social networking and social media marketing
- Ability to work on a PC platform with expert proficiency in CS Suite
- Experience in establishing and tracking website analytics and social media metrics
- Strong communication and writing skills. Advanced knowledge of business English, spelling and grammar required.
