Conference Director :::
Major responsibilities are:
- Identifying and recruiting speakers and subject matter experts
- Developing concurrent professional development conferences with a variety of topics
- Designing programs that align with intended audience needs
- Building relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, including speakers, sponsors and attendees
- Organizing, explaining, and presenting fundamental topic research
- Skillfully negotiating for mutually beneficial solutions
- Maintaining accurate contact records
- Executing meeting logistics on-site, requiring quick decision-making
- Serving as a company representative within the industry
Successful candidates must clearly present:
- A graduate degree with demonstrated skills related to research, writing, and synthesizing and communicating ideas effectively
- Experience developing and adhering to budgets
- Ability to multi-task while managing tight deadlines
- Teaching and/or instructional design experience preferred

Conference Coordinator :::
The Conference Coordinator is the primary logistical and operational planner for all in-person events. The position requires "A to Z" meeting planning from site selection to on-site management. We are seeking Conference Coordinators that are organized, efficient, and highly skilled meeting planning professionals. This is a new position due to growth.
Major responsibilities are:
- Coordinating 30-35 multi-day educational conferences a year in a variety of cities across the country
- Handling logistics for multiple events (in various stages of development) including:
- Responding quickly and effectively to participant requests
- Site selection and meeting room planning
- Competitively and aggressively negotiating venue contracts
- Managing speaker communications and logistics
- Arranging and ensuring seamless F&B and A/V service
- Shipping and coordinating all conference materials
- Preparing onsite staff
- Onsite management of all logistics for larger events
Successful candidates must clearly present:
- Background in meeting planning and/or the hospitality industry
- Poised and professional communication and customer service skills
- Obsessive and understandable organizational style
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
- A history of aggressive negotiation
- A Bachelor's degree
- Ability to travel (averaging one event per month)

Web Conference Coordinator :::
The web conference coordinator manages all execution elements of our online trainings. The position is a good fit for those who are skilled at organization, interpersonal communication, public speaking and constructing effective online presentations.
Major responsibilities are:
- Event Execution
- Hosting and technical support of 75-100 web conferences a year
- Addressing technical questions on an ongoing basis
- Ensuring that materials are engaging and appropriate for the online medium
- Presenter relations
- Working closely with subject matter experts and in-house experts to ensure presentations meet stated goals
- Training and coaching presenters
- Attendee liaison
- Creating, testing, and distributing login instructions
- Making follow-up calls to attendees prior to login
- Evaluation
- Soliciting and interpreting audience feedback
- Communicating that feedback with subject matter experts to improve their presentations
Successful candidates must clearly present:
- Familiarity with online meeting technologies and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Flexibility with new technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems that arise during an event quickly while remaining calm
- Understanding of online pedagogical principles
- A high degree of organization and ability to work with multiple long term schedules.
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
- Excellent public speaking skills
- Previous knowledge of the higher education industry is helpful but not required

Marketing Manager :::
The marketing manager is charged with active promotion of all of Academic Impressions' educational products and services. The individual in this position will be the primary strategic driver for current and new marketing efforts. The marketing manager will work closely with the rest of the marketing team to ensure execution of initiatives and with the conference director team to shape messaging for individual conferences.
Both current and future marketing efforts will stress new media. Current efforts focus on extensive email and web marketing, but future channels will incorporate more varied online channels.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic planning of Academic Impressions' brand message and communication of the brand promise to internal and external audiences
- Ongoing oversight of website content and design as they relate to the Academic Impressions brand promise
- Analyzing new media trends and competitors' marketing efforts to identify new promotion opportunities
- Identification and exploitation of new marketing channels, including viral marketing
- Creative direction for all marketing messages
- Seeking opportunities for partnerships, press coverage, and publicity
- Managing branding and sales opportunities onsite at conferences
This position requires a person who can think on a creative plane and bring new ideas to reality in a measurable way. The marketing manager must be able to take a global view of the business and relate all marketing and branding efforts to major business goals.
Experience in higher education marketing is not required but will be considered.
