From 2001 to 2006, Bill served as associate provost for distance, continuing, and executive education for the University of Florida, in addition to his duties as dean. Under Bill's direction, the University of Florida's College of Pharmacy has established three distance education-based campuses in Florida and has created two successful non-traditional programs with over 1000 students enrolled across the US and overseas. For the past 16 years, Bill has concentrated his research and academic interest on educational technology and its use as an instructional method for distance education.
