sectionheader ON-DEMAND: Data-Driven Space Management for Research Institutions

Overview:

The standard physical plant inventory of institutional facilities no longer meets research institutions' space management needs. In order to grow the research enterprise, institutions need to develop more innovative tools that assist in assigning and managing research space.

The Data-Driven Space Management for Research Institutions on-demand webcast will help you discover how to increase the utility of research space through a robust space database that involves institutional leaders and incorporates open access and regular use. Attendees will:

  • Explore key considerations in implementing and maintaining a space management system
  • Receive a set of clear, linear steps that explains the space management process
  • Discover how to overcome issues often encountered in space management innovations
  • Assess potential outcomes of a space management process through the viewing of sample reports from a variety of institutions

Target Audience:

This on-demand webcast focuses on the space management needs of institutions with moderate to very high research activity, though other institutions will be able to apply this session's general principles to their strategic management and master planning processes.

Facilities directors, planning developers and coordinators, property and space managers, academic officers, financial officers, institutional researchers, and others with a vested interest in space utility will leave this on-demand webcast with:

  • An improved understanding of the space management process in order to adapt the process to the needs of their institutions
  • An ability to incorporate best practices for research space management into new or existing database systems
