sectionheader Getting Started on a Carbon Action Plan :: Webcast December 2, 2009

colorDownload A PDF Brochure

Overview

For institutions that have signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, the deadlines for having a clear plan of action for achieving carbon neutrality can seem overwhelming. Schools that haven't signed the pledge but are looking at how to reduce their carbon footprint will need some help getting started. How will you conduct your carbon inventory? What are your carbon mitigation options? How long will it take to achieve carbon neutrality? Is it even possible?

Join us for the Getting Started on a Carbon Action Plan webcast and learn from Dave Newport, director of the Environmental Center at University of Colorado at Boulder. Dave will offer you an overview of the steps needed to create a realistic plan for carbon action, preparing you to:

  • Easily create an accurate carbon inventory
  • Evaluate carbon mitigation options
  • Quickly project future emissions
  • Determine a carbon action plan and goals quantitatively

Who Should Attend

Facilities directors, sustainability coordinators and managers, environmental center directors and managers, and others who have been tasked with carbon action will leave the web conference with some simple tools for carbon inventory and predictive modeling, and with tips for adapting these tools to the more specific needs of your campus.
