Sean Lyons is a professor of Leadership and Management in the College of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph. Dr. Lyons’s main area of research concerns inter-generational differences and their impacts on workplace dynamics and managing people. His research on generational differences in work values and attitudes has been featured in Time Magazine, the documentary “Generation Jobless,” the Globe & Mail’s Report on Business, the National Post, as well as on CBC’s The National, CTV News Channel, the Business News Network and CBC Radio’s The Current. He is the co-editor of the book Managing the New Workforce and has co-authored a number of publications on the topic of generational differences. Dr. Lyons works frequently with private and public sector organizations to identify and address inter-generational issues.
