Event Information

Many institutions still treat transformational gifts as the work of a single gift officer, yet the strongest ones grow from a partnership between a donor and an institution, with deans, faculty, and campus leaders helping bring a big idea to life. This hands-on, one-and-a-half-day workshop helps you take stock of your internal landscape and the donors already at your table, shape a vision worth partnering on, and build the team to carry it forward. You’ll apply our Collaborative Donor Relationships Framework to a real donor and leave with a team action plan you can put to use right away.

Who should attend?

This workshop is built for institutions preparing to pursue or align around transformational gifts, and it works best when advancement professionals attend alongside the campus partners who make these gifts possible. Come with a specific donor or big idea in mind. Strong team combinations include:

A gift officer and a dean, faculty leader, or program director who is driving the project vision
An advancement leader, a development director, and a donor relations or stewardship lead
Advancement leaders and campus finance or gift administration partners who manage how gifts are received and allocated
Advancement and academic leaders at smaller institutions building a shared approach from the ground up
