Overview
In the ever-evolving landscape of higher education, innovation is not just a buzzword; it's a necessity. Design Thinking is a proven methodology that fosters creative problem-solving and encourages a user-centric approach. By integrating these principles into your practice, you'll be better equipped to address complex challenges, enhance student engagement, and drive positive change within your institution.
With this in mind, we designed this course specifically for higher ed professionals at all levels. Now more than ever, institutions face multifaceted challenges that demand innovative solutions. Designed for higher education professionals, this course was meticulously crafted in partnership with Virginia Commonwealth University’s da Vinci Center to empower those in higher education to harness the power of design thinking in solving complex problems, fostering creativity, and driving positive change. Participants will explore the five steps of design thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. By the end of this course, participants will emerge with a basic understanding of the application of design thinking principles.
