LMS & SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Your campus already has a system. Our courses can sync with it.
Academic Impressions supports API integrations with Workday Learning, Cornerstone, Digital Measures, and other campus platforms, so your leaders get access to our content without leaving the tools they already use.
HOW IT WORKS
Our system talks to your system.
When your institution integrates with Academic Impressions via API, our full course catalog surfaces inside your existing learning management system. Staff and faculty browse and select courses from within the platform they already use. When they click through, they are taken to Academic Impressions to complete the course, and when they finish, the completion record syncs back to your system automatically.
Reporting lives where it already lives. Professional development data becomes part of your existing workflow, not a separate spreadsheet someone has to maintain.
Setup happens on the institution’s side. We support the process, but we don’t control your system. Once it’s live, the integration runs without ongoing technical management from your team.
Supported platforms:
- Workday Learning
- Cornerstone
- Digital Measures
If your platform supports standard API connections, we can likely work with it.
TWO WAYS INSTITUTIONS USE THIS
LMS integration and faculty reporting both through the same API.
Most institutions come to us with one of two scenarios. Here’s what each looks like in practice.
USE CASE 1 | Workday Learning | Cornerstone
Staff and faculty find our courses inside your LMS and complete them on our site.
Your institution wants to offer Academic Impressions content to employees without asking them to navigate away from the systems they already use to find it.
- Our full course catalog surfaces inside your LMS. Staff and faculty browse and select from within the platform they already use
- Clicking a course takes them to Academic Impressions to complete it, and if your institution has SSO set up with us, there’s no separate login required
- Course completions sync back to your system automatically once someone finishes
- Training records and completion data live in one place, not across separate spreadsheets
USE CASE 2 | Digital Measures | Faculty Activity Tracking
Faculty get credit for development without extra paperwork.
Faculty at many institutions are required to log professional development activities each year. With our API, completed courses flow directly into Digital Measures, faculty get credit automatically, and institutions get cleaner data.
What flows through the API:
- Course completion record
- Whether a digital badge was earned
- Completion date and hours of learning
- Tied directly to the faculty member’s record
GETTING STARTED
What setting up an integration actually looks like.
The technical work happens on the institution’s side, but we support the process throughout. Here’s the general sequence.
01
Tell us integration is a priority
When you talk to our team about Enterprise Membership, flag that LMS or faculty reporting integration matters to your institution. It shapes how we scope the partnership from the start.
02
Your IT team configures the connection
Setup happens on the institution’s side. We provide the documentation and support your team needs, but we don’t need access to your systems to make it work.
03
Courses go live in your platform
Once the connection is established, our course catalog is available inside your LMS. Faculty and staff see Academic Impressions content as part of their existing learning environment.
04
Completions and records sync automatically
From that point forward, the integration runs in the background. Completions flow back to your system. Faculty get credit. Reporting stays in one place. No ongoing manual work required.
API INTEGRATION AND ENTERPRISE MEMBERSHIP
API integration is available with Enterprise Membership.
LMS and faculty reporting integrations are part of our Enterprise partnership, designed for institutions that want Academic Impressions woven into how their campus already works, not as a separate destination people have to remember to visit.
Not sure if your platform is supported? Let's find out together.
If your institution uses a platform we haven’t integrated with yet, that’s a conversation worth having. We’re platform-agnostic by design. If your system supports standard API connections, there’s likely a path.
