A Community of Practice: Discussion Circle for Title IX Coordinators

Online | August 29, 2024 1:00 pm ET - September 19, 2024 2:00 pm ET

Extend your network, and dialogue with peers experiencing similar Title IX compliance challenges under the new regulations.

Overview

With the release of the new regulations on April 19, 2024, you, as the Title IX Coordinator, are likely in the thick of drafting your policies and procedures to comply with Title IX’s new legal mandates.  Therefore, you will inevitably have questions and encounter challenges while implementing the new requirements. Having a community of peers who are likely thinking through similar questions and challenges couldn’t come at a more opportune time as you prepare to introduce the new requirements to your campus community.

Join us for a Title IX Coordinator community of practice discussion series to network with peers from across the country, contribute to thoughtful dialogue, gain valuable feedback, and learn strategies to navigate the changes in the law.

This discussion series will occur on the following four dates:

Cara Hardin, a seasoned educator and Title IX practitioner in higher education, will help to facilitate the four weekly discussion circles and share practical recommendations with our participants. Please note that the information provided by our facilitator or others who contribute to the dialogue does not, and is not intended to, constitute legal advice. Instead, all information available during this series is for training and general informational purposes only.

As a participant in this community of practice discussion series, you’ll get to help shape the agenda during our time together. Topics will be solicited in advance by those of you who register for the discussion series.

Who should attend?

This new online discussion series is for Title IX Coordinators, including Deputies, who provide direction, leadership, and accountability in their institutional roles relating to an equitable and discrimination-free environment. This series is reserved exclusively for those individuals serving in the Title IX Coordinator or equivalent role, including those who supervise Title IX Coordinators, legal counsel, and representatives from human resources overseeing any aspect of your institution’s sex discrimination policy and procedures.

Reviews

Academic Impressions has provided my team with top-notch Title IX-related instruction that has surpassed all other training programs we’ve seen in this field. We are grateful for Academic Impressions’ commitment to providing up-to-date, practical, and highly effective guidance regarding this ever evolving and highly regulated topic.
