Aaron Brower

As provost and vice chancellor, Dr. Brower provides strategic and operational leadership as UW-Extension’s chief academic officer. He oversees its four major divisions (Continuing Education and Online Learning, Public Radio and Television, Business and Entrepreneurship, and Cooperative Extension), provides administrative support for business and finance, and develops and supports collaborative programs between UW-Extension and all other University of Wisconsin System institutions.

Dr. Brower helped create, and continues to lead, the UW Flexible Option – the competency-based educational program for the UW System and state of Wisconsin. UW Flex is the first-in-the-country program that provides students a way to receive degrees and certificates through competency-based and direct-assessment methods from existing public institutions.
