Barbara Wright, Ph.D.

Barbara is a respected national expert on assessment with extensive experience in accreditation. She served six years as a member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. Barbara also has experience in a variety of higher education administrative positions, and has consulted on issues of assessment, general education, foreign language instruction, and faculty development. She taught for many years at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, prior to her appointment to WASC. Barbara holds a Ph.D. in German literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
