David D. Flinchbaugh
David Flinchbaugh has served at the University of Maryland, Baltimore since 2007. As assistant to the vice president, he spearheads efforts to streamline alumni engagement efforts across the University of Maryland system. As associate dean, he is part of the team that coordinates the school’s engagement strategy to assure alumni, friends and donors are actively connected to the school. At the School of Social Work, he oversees a team that raises private funds for the school from alumni, friends, corporations and foundations. Flinchbaugh has led efforts that tripled the annual private funding at the school, and has grown the school’s total scholarship funds from five to over fifty; meanwhile, corporate and foundation giving to the school has risen six fold.
Flinchbaugh served the CASE’s Commission on Alumni Relations, and has been a speaker at district and national CASE conferences. Previously, he served as executive director for alumni relations as Johns Hopkins and Bucknell Universities.
