Jessie McHeffey

Jessie McHeffey is a digital communications specialist committed to building high impact communications strategies for dynamic non-profit organizations and universities. She is currently the advancement communications project manager for Stony Brook University, and is responsible for the management of content for all of Stony Brook Advancement’s digital media channels.

Through the development of websites, reports, newsletters, email communications, and social media, she tells the Stony Brook story to University alumni, prospects and donors with the goal of advancing excellence and raising funds to support the University’s mission.

In 2015, she was named a CASE Simpson Scarborough scholar, an award given to promising communications and marketing practitioners in the educational advancement profession, and her work on Advancement’s innovative 40 Under Forty website was recently recognized with a 2015 Web Marketing Association WebAward and a 2016 SUNYCUAD Award of Excellence Judges Citation for Website Design.
