Kimberly Miloch

Prior to her current role, Dr. Miloch served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Health Sciences at Texas Woman’s University (TWU). She earned her Ph.D. in sport management and physical education from Florida State University in 2002, holds a master of science in education and sport management from Baylor University, and a bachelor of arts in mass communication and public relations from Texas State University. Dr. Miloch previously served as Director of Quality Enhancement Programs at TWU and was a member of the sport management faculty at Indiana University and Northern Illinois University. Dr. Miloch’s research focuses on leadership development in sport and higher education, experiential learning and transferrable skills, factors influencing sport consumption specific to sport communication and public relations, brand management, sponsorship, and social media usage. She has presented her research at over 40 professional conferences and published more than 20 articles in national or international journals including the International Journal of Sport Communication, International Journal of Sport Management, Sport Marketing Quarterly, and the International Journal of Sport Management & Marketing. She co-authored, Strategic Sport Communication, the seminal textbook in sport communication, and Marketing for Sport Business Success.

She has served as the Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Sport Marketing Association and currently serves on the editorial review board of Sport Marketing Quarterly and The International Journal of Sport Communication. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Miloch worked in marketing, sponsorship, and public relations in minor league hockey and for the United States Tennis Association-Texas Section.
