Meg Petersen
Meg Petersen focuses on building individual relationships with Reed alumni and parents, with Annual Fund asks ranging from $5K-$100K, as well as endowed gifts starting at $100K. In her role, Meg also manages the Parent Council at Reed. Prior to becoming a Major Gifts Officer, Meg was a Special Gifts Officer in the Annual Fund and helped to enhance the leadership annual fund program at the college. Meg joined Reed in July 2012 after spending four years at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as the Director of Young Alumni Giving for the Carolina Annual Fund. She began her career as the assistant director of the annual fund for the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at UNC, after graduating with a degree in public relations from the school in 2007. Meg was the president of the Class of 2007 and helped to initiate the transition from a senior gift program to the current senior campaign model. The campaign model increased participation among graduating seniors from about 12 percent in 2006 to a high of 48 percent in fiscal year 2011. Meg has presented on student and young alumni giving through CASE, as well as at the Carolinas Annual Fund Conference.
