Melisa Parkerson
Melisa Parkerson has served as the director of student programs for the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association for the past eight years. She has been working in alumni relations and student programming for more than 11 years having previously served as assistant director of annual giving and alumni relations at Oklahoma City University. One of Melisa’s areas of focus is advising students who plan and present OSU’s Homecoming celebration, which welcomes more than 80,000 alumni and friends to its nationally recognized Walkaround event. She also oversees OSU’s Student Alumni Association, the OSU Class Ring, the Tradition Keepers Program, Senior Awards, and the Legacy Program for children and grandchildren of alumni. Melisa was recognized as a Golden Torch Award recipient in 2014 by OSU Mortar Board for her work as a student adviser. She graduated from OSU with a bachelor’s degree in zoology.
