Kerry Hanson

Kerry, the director of marketing, is lucky enough to work with an amazing marketing team that sets and executes the brand and marketing strategies for the business. She has twenty years of experience in higher education marketing. She has worked with a number of higher ed institutions including 8 years at the University of Denver. Additionally, during her time with Wiley, she worked with institutions such as Regis University, CSU Global, and Gonzaga University. Kerry was born and raised in Colorado and received her MBA from the University of Denver and her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon. Outside of work, Kerry loves spending time with her husband and her two daughters. LinkedIn

Bridget Dattilo

As the Director of Product Design at Academic Impressions, Bridget works to ensure the relevance and quality of our online learning products. As a teenager and young adult, she was sure she’d make her living as a writer or an artist. But 10 years ago after her master’s degree, she stumbled into the field of instructional design, accidentally finding a new career that married all her interests together. In the name of product development, you’ll find her at her desk happily writing stories, drawing pictures, and building things. When she’s not at work, she loves sitting on her porch swing with her husband, son, and cat.

Sarah Capps

Sarah M. Capps is the Educational Technology Specialist at Academic Impressions responsible for Salesforce administration, webcast hosting, and support for a variety of other technologies. Sarah has an online higher education background including a Master’s in Education from the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana. Originally from Chicago, Sarah now enjoys the Colorado mountains with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. LinkedIn

Star Slade Buzzanca

As a meeting planner at Academic Impressions, Star is responsible for finding locations and venues for our conferences. From contracting with hotels to reviewing the final bill, she oversees an event’s logistical details from start to finish. She also works closely with our subject matter experts (SMEs) on their event responsibilities. Star graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in communicative disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. When she’s not at her desk, you can either find her outside with her husband and dog traversing the great outdoors or cheering on all Wisconsin athletics.

Frank Buzzanca

As the marketing automation manager at Academic Impressions, Frank is responsible for developing and executing the email marketing strategy. He creates the email schedule, coordinates email sending, analyzes campaign performance, and works with his marketing colleagues to drive attendance to our in-person and online events. When Frank is not at his desk wearing his “I Heart Email” t-shirt, he enjoys hiking with his wife and dog, preparing and cooking food in the kitchen, reading, and watching sporting events. He is a hybrid Wisconsin (Badgers) and Chicago (Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks) sports fan which allows him to mingle and squabble with the same people depending on the day.

Les Cook

Les Cook is a transformative leader with nearly four decades of experience advancing academic excellence, institutional strategy, and student success. Known for his intentional and student-centered leadership style, Les prioritizes strategic growth, financial sustainability, and impactful partnerships. Under his direction, Montana Tech has launched its second Ph.D. program, introduced innovative STEM degrees, approved seven micro-credentials in extractive technologies, and achieved the largest first-year class in 14 years. His leadership emphasizes purpose-driven strategies that drive enrollment growth, enhance student success initiatives, strengthen campus infrastructure, and inspire unprecedented philanthropic support. Previously, Les served at Michigan Technological University in key leadership roles, including Vice President for Strategic University Partnerships. Beyond campus, he has held national leadership positions as a board chair, regional vice president, and conference facilitator with organizations such as NASPA, NODA, and the LeaderShape Institute. He currently serves as Chair of the Frontier Athletic Conference of the NAIA. Les leads with optimism, authenticity, and an unwavering commitment to empowering students to create meaningful, lasting change in the world.
