Patty Burns

Patty Burns is the chief strategist and information architect of the award-winning Kenyon College website. The director of three comprehensive web redesigns, she has extensive practical experience in the planning and execution of this complex process in the small college environment. To lead a successful redesign, she believes one must understand the institution’s needs and available resources, determine how a strategic partner’s strengths and expertise will complement in-house resources, and develop a clear, long-term plan for sustaining the website post-launch.

As Kenyon’s director of new media since 2001, Patty develops web policies and procedures and enforces web style and branding guidelines. She serves as principal contact to web vendors and service providers and administers Kenyon’s web content management system.
