Jessica Lauritsen

Former Vice President of Student Affairs, Hennepin Technical College

Dr. Jessica Lauritsen served as the Vice President of Student Affairs at Hennepin Technical College, where she worked for over ten years. Jessica holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Minnesota State University Mankato and holds a Master’s Degree in Education: Leadership in Student Affairs from the University of St. Thomas. Jessica is committed to equity work. She believes in students and values engaging them in meaningful ways which is evident through the implementation of multiple sustainable programs at the institutions where she has worked. Jessica was awarded the Lud Spolyer Distinguished Service award by the Minnesota College Professionals Association, named one of the “Top 40 under 40” award recipients through the American Association of Women in Community Colleges, and led the work that resulted in Hennepin Technical College being named a White House Healthy Campus for her work around the Affordable Care Act. She has presented at national conferences on her work in developing transformative student leadership programs, peer mentor programs, and persistence. Jessica now works for the Education Design Lab as a Senior Education Designer.
