Learn how your institution can help students build professional mindsets. In this webcast, you will learn how to focus on four key skills in your interactions with students. We have designed this event with a broader audience in mind. This webcast is applicable to anyone who works directly with students and would like to incorporate skill-building that will help students succeed both in the classroom and in future work environments.

Agenda

As we go through each of the four skills, you will learn how to build these into your coaching conversations with students.

  1. Empathy: This skill is critical for client/customer relationships, successful teamwork, innovation, and design-thinking in the workplace.
  2. Networking: This skill is critical for entrepreneurial activities. We will discuss how social media can help or hurt your network as well as strategies to help students build professional networks.
  3. Project Management: This section focuses on building a portfolio of work that has been executed from start to finish and demonstrates follow-through, initiative, accountability, and problem-solving.
  4. Resilience and Agility: This skill is critical for staying relevant in a rapidly changing economy. We will discuss how to coach to talk about failure in a way that leads to proactive decisions with students.
