Lawrence Lesick, Ph.D.

Since beginning his career in higher education administration, Larry has served in a variety of roles including as director of admissions and financial aid and vice president for enrollment management and strategic planning. He is an expert in business process redesign, implementing a one-stop student service model, and applying customer satisfaction techniques to the enrollment setting.

Vicki P. Klopsch

In her current role, Vicki oversees comprehensive career services, related programming initiatives, and student employment at Scripps College to empower students in developing and pursuing their post-graduation goals. Vicki also serves as an international student liaison and collaborates in the collection and analysis of student and career information to support measurable outcomes of a liberal arts education. Her areas of expertise include organizational development, strategic planning, mentoring programs, and program assessment. Under Vicki’s leadership, CP&R was recently ranked a top 20 career center by The Princeton Review. In her previous position, Vicki managed a nationally recognized career mentoring program and coached other colleges and universities on enhancing theirs. She earned her MA in organizational & multicultural communication from DePaul University, is certified in volunteer management, and has taught public speaking at the college level.

Lauren Heising, R.D.

Lauren has been the registered dietitian for Housing and Dining Services at UC Boulder for 23 years. Over time, she’s witnessed changes in the university customer base, and has developed nutritional programs to address changing needs. Increasingly, she’s talked to customers with a variety of food allergies and realized the need to provide comprehensive food allergy information. Through implementation and continuous improvement of the A9 Allergen Project, CU Boulder’s Dining Services has been able to meet the needs of the majority of those with food allergies, intolerances, and avoidances.

Kevin Pollock

Drawing on experience as a high school and junior high school teacher; university admissions, enrollment, and recruitment director; and community college student services vice president, Kevin is an advocate for college access and student service quality initiatives. Under his leadership, St. Clair formed high school partnerships for early college and middle college programs; joined Achieving the Dream: Community Colleges Count, a national organization that helps community colleges identify strategies to improve student success, close achievement gaps, and increase retention, persistence, and completion rates; and was awarded a five-year TRiO Student Support Services grant from the U.S. Department of Education to help disadvantaged students succeed in higher education. Kevin has presented more than 70 sessions at conferences and colleges and written more than a dozen articles and book chapters on topics such as at-risk students, continuous quality improvement, mentoring, retention, strategic planning, and student success. He holds a doctorate in higher, adult, and lifelong education from Michigan State University.

Margie Bader

Margie completed a master’s in social service at Bryn Mawr School of Social Work and Social Research in Pennsylvania. She is a South African qualified counseling psychologist. Margie’s career spans more than twenty years in the fields of education and counseling at the university and college level, both in Johannesburg and Toronto. A highlight of her career was being part of the end of apartheid and helping black students integrate into university life. Since 2006, Margie has coordinated the SMILE (Student Mentoring in Life and Education) program, a major contributor to student retention at Seneca and considered one of the leading postsecondary mentoring programs in Canada. Margie has been working on developing different models of mentoring to meet the needs of different program areas. Over the past year Margie has developed a first of its kind pre-arrival mentoring program for international students. Margie also teaches psychology and conducts workshops in emotional intelligence for student leaders.

Steve Rittler

Steve leads a company devoted to building user-friendly and intuitive software for higher education institutions’ alumni relations, fundraising, and athletics programs. CounterMarch has designed web and mobile applications for Lehigh, Cornell, and CASE (among many others) for advancement and engagement purposes. Steve is also a past president of the Lehigh University Young Alumni Council and current member of the Lehigh University Alumni Board of Directors. Chad Davis

Chad has been working in alumni relations at Lehigh since 2007, with a focus on student and young alumni development. Currently, Chad, along with Lehigh’s Student and Young Alumni Team, is responsible for the annual giving and programmatic efforts of Lehigh’s undergraduate students and ten youngest classes, focusing on participation, scholarship dollars, volunteer engagement, and recognition. Goals include increasing donor participation, retention, education, and stewardship among students and young alumni, with the ultimate end of creating a feeling that giving back to your alma mater is fun, easy, appreciated, and rewarding.
