Lean into the opportunity to maximize your effectiveness and influence as you lead from the middle.
Overview
It is a very complex task to lead from the middle. You must understand, communicate, and operationalize strategy while also being attuned to the needs and expectations of your supervisor, your team, and other partners with whom you collaborate.
This conference will place you in the room with other experienced middle and senior managers to explore such critical topics as leveraging your scope of influence, deepening your self-awareness, building effective relationships, and the intersection of agency and followership. We will combine the following elements to help you to more effectively serve as the bridge between institutional leaders and your own team:
- Introspection
You will develop a personal leadership definition and take the Five Paths to Leadership℠ Assessment. - Leadership Frameworks and Tools
You will explore concepts like courageous leadership, conflict resolution, empathy, trust, and power dynamics. - Tactical Application
You will tie your reflection along with frameworks and tools to such practical uses as conducting effective and collaborative meetings and developing a personal leadership development plan.
