Advanced Leadership Development in Higher Education

Denver, CO | May 28, 2025 8:00 am MT - May 30, 2025 3:30 pm MT

Unlock your leadership potential to drive substantive change in higher education.

Event Information

Higher education is facing several disruptive trends, which means as a leader, you need to make substantive—not incremental—change.  If this feels like a difficult task, join us for this one-of-a-kind program that will help you to explore how you can lead for the impact you desire.

In this three-day program, you’ll explore how to combat the following three types of barriers that make change difficult to implement:

  • Personal: Leading change can be stressful, and it requires you to be adaptive and responsive despite the stress. Through the Five Paths to Leadership℠ Self-Assessment and a 360 Feedback Assessment completed by your colleagues on campus, you’ll explore your natural leadership style, both in normal and stressful situations. A hallmark of this program is that you’ll meet one-on-one with one of the program facilitators to review your results and make sense of them together. By gaining greater self-awareness, you’ll be better able to identify ways to maximize your effectiveness, especially when things get difficult.
  • Team: Leading change requires you to align large groups around a new direction or vision.  By participating in hands-on, simulated activities, you’ll walk away with new strategies and techniques you can use on your campus to unite people and build them into high-performing teams, even amidst the complexity of change.
  • Systemic: Leading change requires you and your team to challenge established norms and translate those challenges into opportunities. You’ll participate in hands-on activities that will teach you how to scan the horizon for opportunities, and you’ll discuss what behaviors are most needed to create a culture that embraces innovation.

Hundreds of higher ed leaders—many of them current presidents, provosts, and deans—have attended this program since 2012. We’ve recently redesigned this experience to address the current and upcoming disruptive trends facing higher education. Register now to reserve YOUR spot. This conference is capped at 30 attendees to preserve an intimate and productive experience.

Optional Executive Coaching: One of the benefits of this conference is that you’ll walk away with several big ideas that you can implement to drive impact on your campus. Consider adding Executive Coaching—which includes six sessions with a coach who has extensive experience in higher education—so that you have a partner to help you think through how to implement those big ideas after the conference.

Who should attend?

Given the intensive nature of the program, middle and senior managers who have experience leading teams or units will benefit from attending. We have intentionally designed this program for administrators across the institution, including those on the academic side, such as deans and provosts.

Bring a team of supervisors who have experience leading teams or units to build a cohort of leaders on your campus! Register 3 or more people and save more than $1,000! Discounts will be automatically applied at checkout.
