Jeff Mavros

Jeff recently transitioned to his new position at ISU where he oversees their admissions efforts. Previously, Jeff assumed leadership of Illinois Wesleyan University’s annual giving program and developing the “All in For Wesleyan” day of giving, working primarily with young alumni to increase their overall participation. He also held the role of assistant director of the annual fund, where he managed the university’s parent fundraising effort, as well as its senior gift campaign and student philanthropy education program.

Aaron Brower

As provost and vice chancellor, Dr. Brower provides strategic and operational leadership as UW-Extension’s chief academic officer. He oversees its four major divisions (Continuing Education and Online Learning, Public Radio and Television, Business and Entrepreneurship, and Cooperative Extension), provides administrative support for business and finance, and develops and supports collaborative programs between UW-Extension and all other University of Wisconsin System institutions. Dr. Brower helped create, and continues to lead, the UW Flexible Option – the competency-based educational program for the UW System and state of Wisconsin. UW Flex is the first-in-the-country program that provides students a way to receive degrees and certificates through competency-based and direct-assessment methods from existing public institutions.

Adam Goldstein

Adam has responsibility for Student Rights and Responsibilities, Greek Life, Withdrawal Services, and supporting students experiencing medical and mental health crises. He has been in student affairs administration for 18 years and has worked at both private and public institutions. After the Florida Legislature passed the country’s toughest hazing law in the summer of 2005, Adam coordinated a community coalition to improve FSU’s hazing education efforts and reduce the potential for emotional and physical harm caused by hazing. The coalition’s efforts resulted in the creation of http://hazing.fsu.edu/, Florida State University’s central location for educational resources, policies, and information about hazing.

Dr. Ajay Nair

Dr. Ajay Nair is an accomplished scholar and student affairs leader whose interests include immigration, race, and ethnicity. As Emory’s chief student advocate for nearly 13,000 undergraduate and graduate students, Dr. Nair shoulders a broad portfolio of responsibilities ranging from intercollegiate athletics and the Greek experience to student health services and residence life. Dr. Nair provides leadership and strategic direction in cultivating an ethically engaged community consistent with Emory’s vision. Under his leadership, Campus Life has established a model fundraising operation that has significantly increased alumni, parent, and family engagement. Previously, Nair served as senior associate vice provost for student affairs at the University of Pennsylvania. He also has held positions at Columbia University, Penn State University, and the University of Virginia. During his tenure in higher education, he has served in a variety of capacities as faculty member, student affairs administrator, and academic administrator.

Andrew Beckett

At the University of Iowa, Dr. Beckett works with living-learning communities and retention efforts. He previously served as associate dean of students at Miami University and coordinator of freshmen interest groups at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He holds a Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia, an M.A. in higher education from the University of Arizona, and a B.S. in mathematics from Truman State University.

Araceli Fleet

Araceli (Arci) is responsible for spatial reporting and accountability, as well as overseeing space management and optimization for the university. She works to provide effective solutions for greater space utilization, and she has been successful at partnering with other offices and departments on campus to successfully adopt new space policies that have increased their space usage and efficiency. She is also responsible for helping to educate campus customers on effective space management in an effort to meet the mission and objectives of the university. Prior to working at Tarleton State University, Arci was the Space Manager for the Space Information Resources office at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). She also worked as an Independent Space Consultant for Tarleton State University before deciding to stay on as a full-time, permanent member of their staff. Her experience with space management at multiple institutions of higher learning make her skillset unique, extensive, and conscious of campus needs and objectives.

Anne M. Sullivan

Anne has over thirteen years of experience assisting research universities and academic medical centers with reviewing and improving administrative operations, assessing their compliance with federal and other applicable regulations, and enhancing institutional compliance programs. Anne has assisted many universities in resolving compliance issues by supporting legal counsel during active audits or investigations, serving as expert witness, and calculating fair settlements based on data and proper regulatory interpretations.

Dr. Brent Paterson

Brent Paterson has served in leadership roles at Illinois State University since 2001, and currently serves as Assistant to the President. His career in higher education spans more than 35 years holding positions in admissions, residence life, student conduct, and student affairs administration at four universities. Prior to becoming Assistant to the President, Brent served as Interim Vice President for Student Affairs and Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at Illinois State University. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Educational Administration and Foundations, teaching courses in the college student personnel administration program. Brent spent 17 years in administrative roles at Texas A&M University, including serving as Dean of Student Life. Brent has been active in NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, the Association for Student Conduct Affairs (ASCA), and the Southern Association for College Student Affairs (SACSA). In 2015, Brent was named a Pillar of the Profession by NASPA for sustained professional distinction in higher education. He also is a recipient of the D. Parker Young Award from ASCA for outstanding scholarly and research contributions in the area of higher education law. Brian Daugherty

With more than twenty years of experience in development with a focus on annual giving and major gifts, Brian has worked for a variety of organizations in the nonprofit arena, including the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, the University of Baltimore, the University of California, San Diego San Diego State University and the University of San Diego. His experience includes extensive work on telemarketing campaigns, direct mail, board management, volunteer solicitations, e-philanthropy, and personal solicitations. Brian has used his extensive experience in statistical data analysis and strategic planning to be an integral team member of capital campaigns ranging in scope from $16 million to $1 billion. A contributor to Currents magazine, he has been a frequent presenter for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Annual Giving Professionals Network (AGPN).

Bryce Bunting

Bryce is a former Associate Director for First-Year Mentoring and has extensive experience in orientation, first-year seminars, admissions, academic support, and academic advising. Bryce holds a doctorate in instructional design and focuses his research on transformative learning, the application of learning theory to student affairs practice, early alert systems, and high-impact practices. His research on peer leadership was published in a special issue of The Journal of the First-Year Experience & Students in Transition. He has presented nationally and internationally with the National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience, the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the International Society for Exploring Teaching and Learning (ISETL), the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), and the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).
