Inspiring partnerships that yield more campus-wide support on equity and inclusion and implementing diverse faculty pathways are the future of higher ed, so join fellow faculty affairs leaders and chief diversity officers, including those leading in the academic space, for an open dialogue.
Overview
During Academic Impressions’ inaugural Faculty Affairs and Chief Diversity Officer Summits, we explore how campus-wide infrastructures can better support the changing landscape of higher education populations, including students, faculty, staff, and administrators. On the faculty affairs side, we explore the challenges and opportunities for creating policies and practices that support diverse faculty pathways, including tenure-track and non-tenure-track (or alternative academic/alt-ac) pathways, as well as the many pathways to leading the academy. On the DEI side, we explore how strategic relationships with willing participants, both on-campus and those connected to your campus community, create integrated and successful awareness of equity and inclusion.
In this follow-up discussion, we share insights gleaned from both summits and bring together a lineup of subject-matter experts to create the space for an open dialogue about challenges and opportunities to creating faculty development and DEI support.
Who Should Attend
This discussion is broadly applicable to diversity leaders who hold the most senior-level positions in their division, or for their campus and Faculty Affairs and Faculty Development leaders, both at the central and unit levels, including Provosts of Faculty Affairs, Vice Provosts, and Associate/Assistant/Vice Deans. This discussion is open both to those who did and did not attend the Summits taking place on March 8-9 2023 in Orlando, Florida.
