Beth Braxton

Special Assistant to the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Development

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Beth Gardner Braxton has been a development professional for 20 years. She led the Carolina Annual Fund for seven years before recently accepting a new position at UNC as special assistant to the senior associate vice chancellor for development. While at the helm of the Carolina Annual Fund, she was responsible for coordinating the central development annual giving program, including direct mail; e-solicitations; phonathon; social media; and leadership giving, student, young alumni, and diversity initiatives. Under Beth's leadership, the Carolina Annual Fund team saw an increase in revenue of 92 percent over seven fiscal years. Beth has served in a variety of positions at Carolina, including assistant dean for development and alumni affairs at the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication and director of major gifts at UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School. Beth was also previously a fundraiser for community hospitals in North Carolina.
