In her current position with UNM Continuing Education, Leah is responsible for all the custom training and workforce development programming activities. She has been with UNMCE for 16 years and started its custom training program five years ago. 2009 was their most successful year. Prior to working on customer training, Leah held the position of IT Training Program Manager for open enrollment classes. She has a strong background in program design and development and holds a Master's degree in Organizational Learning and Instructional Technology with an emphasis on Multimedia. She is also past president of the American Society of Training and Development in New Mexico.
In her current position, Amy works with some of Charlotte's largest organizations on assessing and managing their specific workforce training needs. In her first three years in this position, she developed the office into a $1 million business. Prior to joining the Office of Continuing Education at UNC Charlotte, Amy was a lecturer in the Department of Management for the Belk College of Business and taught business courses at Central Piedmont Community College. Her experience also includes marketing and promotion strategies, sales forecasting, pricing, purchasing, team-building, budgeting, new products, and business development.
