Laura Weidner
In her current position, Laura directs the college's workforce development, contract training, and outreach to business and industry. She also has served as a consultant to the Global Corporate College, a network of colleges providing training solutions for national and international business. She developed and managed the nationally recognized workforce development program "School at Work," a program that helped more than 8,500 people in low-paying jobs at 400 hospitals in 43 states advance in the health professions by taking classes at their work site. This program won both the National Council of Instructional Administrators Workforce Development Award and the National Council for Continuing Education and Training's Distance Learning Award. Laura is currently a co-researcher on a Met-Life funded project with the League for Innovation in the Community college studying "The Nature of Innovation in the Community College."

Patricia Malone
Pat has extensive experience initiating and facilitating collaborative training and workforce initiatives that directly impact the regional economy. She has assisted hundreds of companies in developing and implementing comprehensive training programs in technology, quality, lean manufacturing, and management. Pat has facilitated many sessions with representatives from labor, education, and industry on identifying regional issues surrounding skill sets, dislocated workers, and emerging jobs. She has consulted with the Federal Department of Labor, sits on the Suffolk County Workforce Investment Board and Education and Training Committee, and has participated in numerous meetings and forums regarding regional agendas in training and job creation. Pat works closely with the Empire State Development Corporation, the New York State Department of Labor, the community colleges, the state education department, local business associations, and three workforce investment boards.
