Event Information

The goal of this program is to help emerging and aspiring leaders build a strong foundation of self-awareness and interpersonal skills that will support them throughout their leadership journey. Participants will explore key competencies, tools, and strategies they can apply now and in future roles—whether in formal leadership positions or other professional contexts. By strengthening their understanding of themselves and others, emerging leaders will be better equipped to lead with confidence, empathy, and effectiveness.

Empowered Leadership

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to leadership. Leadership is contextual and situational and, ultimately, the most successful approach is one that is authentic to the leader. In our opening session, we’re going to participate in an activity that helps you connect with your authentic leadership style.  We’ll identify some of the qualities, skills and actions that we think effective leaders embrace and then you’ll have the opportunity to start crafting a personalized definition of leadership – one that reflects your authentic leadership voice.

Knowing Yourself as a Leader through The Five Paths to Leadership® Self-Assessment Debrief

In this session, you will explore your unique leadership style and philosophy through the Five Paths to Leadership® Self-Assessment, gaining insights into your strengths, stress responses, and strategies to build confidence and effectiveness. This proven model identifies your ease of access to five intuitive leadership styles—Critical Thinker, Relator, Visionary, Warrior, and Sage—and helps you lead with greater self-awareness and impact.

Setting Boundaries | Asynchronous Course | 49 minutes

During your early career, you may feel pressure to make career decisions that don’t align with your personal or professional goals. Being able to set and maintain your boundaries and knowing when to be more flexible with them can help you achieve your ideal career trajectory without sacrificing too much. In this session, we’ll discuss how to set your boundaries based on your personal and professional goals, and how to maintain those boundaries while balancing competing priorities.

Initiative and Professional Curiosity | Asynchronous Course | 53 minutes

Your early career is a time for a great deal of learning, and you often encounter so many new things that it can be overwhelming. Professionals who learn quickly where they can take initiative and build a sense of curiosity in their work really stand out in their organizations. In this session, we’ll explore how you can build your sense of initiative even with limited knowledge.

The Anatomy of Trust

Trust is at the heart of leadership—even when you’re not in a formal supervisory role. As an emerging leader, your ability to build and maintain trust influences how effectively you collaborate, communicate, and inspire others. In this session, you’ll explore what drives trust in professional relationships, how to recognize when it breaks down, and practical ways to rebuild it. You’ll leave with tools to strengthen your credibility, foster stronger connections, and increase your impact across your team and organization.

Building Accountability on Your Team | Asynchronous Course | 53 minutes

Accountability is a core leadership skill. In this session, participants will explore how current and aspiring supervisors can model personal accountability, set clear and lasting expectations, and foster psychologically safe teams where issues are identified, owned, and addressed quickly. The session also examines how accountability can look different across generations.

Navigating Conflict

As an emerging or aspiring leader, your ability to handle disagreement and tension with professionalism and empathy directly shapes how others perceive your leadership potential. In this session, you’ll learn practical strategies for communicating effectively, actively listening to understand different perspectives, and addressing conflict in a way that strengthens rather than strains relationships. By developing these skills now, you’ll be better prepared to build trust, influence outcomes, and create a more positive and productive work environment—key foundations for future leadership success.

Communication Using the Five Paths to Leadership® Model

As an aspiring leader, it’s essential to know how to communicate clearly and stay composed—especially when conversations become challenging. This interactive session will help you build the skills and confidence needed to navigate tough discussions with clarity and poise. You’ll explore strategies for managing your own reactions, applying transparent communication principles, and practicing real-world scenarios that reflect everyday leadership challenges. Through guided exercises, you’ll leave with practical tools to approach any conversation with confidence and calm.
