Essential Leadership Skills for Deans

Location TBA | May 18, 2026 8:30 am ET - May 19, 2026 4:00 pm ET

Hone the leadership skills you need in order to address the complex challenges facing higher ed today.

Event Information

The demands placed on Deans in today’s environment only continue to grow. They must find ways to motivate and inspire those above, across from, and below them while simultaneously fostering a positive culture and climate, innovating to keep their academic program offerings competitive and future-ready, navigating near-constant change. All of this requires a strong sense of self and an executive leadership skillset that must evolve over time.

Join us for an in-person workshop to grow your leadership in community with other Deans facing similar challenges across the country. Together, we will participate in hands-on activities and engage in honest, practical discussion around how you can:

  • Break out of fire-fighting mode to free up more time for strategy, innovation, and fundraising
  • Level up your conflict management skills in the face of more varied and complex personal, interpersonal, and systemic conflict
  • Empower your team to think differently and operate in today’s ambiguous, ever-changing environment.

Who should attend?

Since this program focuses on leadership effectiveness and not just on the nuts and bolts of running your college, we invite academic Deans of all experience levels to attend. If you’re looking to grow both your relationships and your influence across your college or institution, this workshop is for you.

Attending with your fellow Deans is an effective way to build a community of support on your own campus! Register 3 or more people and save more than $1,000! Discounts will be automatically applied at checkout.
