Assessing Credibility in Title IX Cases

Last updated April 1, 2021

Gain the practical tools and confidence to effectively and fairly assess credibility.

Overview

It’s not uncommon for someone to have imperfect or inconsistent recall and just because something doesn’t make sense to you doesn’t necessarily mean it is untrue. How can Title IX decision makers effectively and fairly assess credibility throughout the course of a case?

Join us for a deep-dive virtual training that will help make the practice of assessing credibility—often a nebulous concept—more concrete and tangible. You will learn which factors you need to consider, how to assess the credibility of statements, documents, and other information gathered in a case, and how to communicate this in your decision rationale, all in a fair and impartial manner.

Who should attend?

This program is designed specifically for Title IX case decision makers, especially hearing board/panel members.
